Isopropyl alcohol is easy to buy in Kenya in 500ml and 5 litre retail packs at retail margins. Genuine bulk quantities at a published price are much harder to find. We hold 20 litre jerry cans and drums and the price is on this page.
Hand sanitiser
The WHO formulation uses roughly 75% v/v isopropanol with glycerine as a humectant and hydrogen peroxide to kill bacterial spores in the mix. Below 60% alcohol in the finished product, effectiveness falls away sharply, so dilution must be measured rather than estimated. We stock the glycerine and the hydrogen peroxide as well.
Electronics and precision cleaning
The 99% grade evaporates fast and leaves no residue, which makes it the standard for cleaning circuit boards, print heads, optical assemblies, magnetic heads and instrument contacts. Do not substitute the 70% grade here, the water content is exactly the problem you are trying to avoid.
Safety
Highly flammable, flash point about 12 degrees. Keep away from ignition sources and store in a cool, ventilated place. Vapour is heavier than air and will collect at floor level in a closed store. Ground metal drums when decanting.
